PUBLISHING UPDATE:
Great news! The editing and proofreading of the final manuscript has been completed! Thank you Stacey Covell for your deep insight and skilled editing capabilities! The book has been submitted to the Interior Design editor down in Texas for the final step before printing.

I want to give a big shout out to both of my diligent proofreaders, Melissa “Izzy” Lamprey and my wife, Kelly for for their intense hard work in ferreting out all the last little errors left over by the editing process. An extra space here, a misspelling there–You both rock!

SCHEDULED RELEASE: We are just a little behind schedule (don’t most things take longer than expected) so the release date may be pushed out a week or two (beginning to mid October). But the excitement continues! I am thrilled with the edited manuscript and looking forward to seeing the printed book as well as the Kindle and electronic versions.

BOOK RELEASE PARTY: We are currently evaluating venues for the book release event and planning the activities. It is sure to be a fun gathering with music, coffee, food and giveaways!

AUDIO BOOK: Recording for the audio book begins this week!

THANK YOU everyone for your support! This is an exciting journey we are all on and my prayer is always that each of you will come closer to finding YOUR  promised land through the Exodus of your life!

Editing Amost Done!

The custom bookmarks and have been printed. One more task down.

PUBLISHING UPDATE: June was a busy, busy month and July is the same! What an exciting time as this book comes together.

EDITING: I have the most awesome editor, Stacy Covell at One Word Editing! We have completed the hardest part, the first pass edit, on all the chapters. We are now compiling all the final edits and are almost ready for the interior design editor.

GRAPHICS: Stacy Edwards at Designs By Stacy has completed the cover, the chapter dividers, the custom bookmark and the interior artwork.

PRINTER: I found a book that has the look and feel in paper and cover quality that fit Exodus of Our Lives, mailed the sample book and received a quote for the work. This part of the journey will be exciting!

INTERIOR DESIGN EDITOR: Stacey Covell and I are now compiling all the chapters and other parts into the finished edited manuscript to send off to the interior design editor, Melinda, at Martin Design Services. I will also be sending her the sample book pages that has the look and feel we want so she can select the right font family as well as other things to complete her task.

Additionally, I have been busy at work on the book website, copyright, ISBN and preparing for the many marketing task once the book is printed.
I again want to thank each of you for your prayers, your support, your pre-orders and for all your notes of encouragement as you join me on this journey! Without you, this book would not be published!

Just arrived: Promotional T-Shirt and Journal

I just received the first promotional product samples from the Journey Supplies store. I am excited! I love the T-Shirt. There are many shirts and products with key quotes from the book. The journal will be handy! It has 160 pages of 60 lb book-weight acid free ruled paper to take study notes or simply to journal your thoughts each day.

PROJECT UPDATE:
I am finishing my edit of chapter five and just received my editors first pass on chapter three. The process of editing with a pro is so rewarding as I see the words come off the page in a way that communicates succinctly what I am writing.

The additional graphics and call out boxes are being created in preparation for the final edit and submission to the interior design editor. How do you like the cover? I think it is amazing! Check out what Jeff DiMario interpreted from the cover!

I lost my voice last week so it looks like I won’t be starting the audio book until it fully heals. That is okay because my editor and I are doing first edits on each chapter before we start the final edit process which will solidify the complete book.

I have started to receive endorsements and am humbled to see that Exodus Of Our Lives, even in raw manuscript format, is already having an impact in the lives of others who have read it.

And the good news is, we are still on track in our timeline for a book release of late September.

As always, I am humbled by your support and for believing in this book project. My prayer is that Exodus of Our Lives will illuminate the love and magnificent wisdom of Jesus Christ as we navigate our lives.  God bless you all!

It Just got real! The Cover is done!

This is quite a journey and I am thankful for each of you who have helped this book come alive! I want to give a big shout out to my graphics editor, Stacy Edwards for interpreting what was in my mind into what you see here. The ISBN’s and barcodes have been purchased which are necessary for worldwide distribution. That makes it even more real!

I want to also update everyone on the process. I am deep in editing mode with my copy/content editor in Pennsylvania. She is amazing and is sharpening my thoughts as they will be placed in print. I am amazed at her editing process and the final edit. We are editing chapter by chapter and wow, I am blown away!

I also had a great conversation with my Interior design and layout editor in Texas about the book and look forward to hiring her in the near future. She is also a follower of Jesus and I know she, as well as everyone involved in this book creation process, will bring blessing to the final product.

I received a wonderful endorsement from the president of a new upcoming ministry, LARK Global Ministries (Loving Acts of Random Kindness) based here in central Florida. His endorsement means a lot to me!

And soon, possibly next week, I expect to start the narration on the audiobook in my studio, the JamminStation. This will be an exciting as the written word becomes spoken word.

I could not have done this without all of you! Thank you for the blessings and encouragement you have provided. My prayer is that this book will be helpful in your journey as well as the journeys of countless others as we all seek Jesus in our lives as our guide.
